Meet Dr. Mollimichelle McClendon
Your trusted expert in forensic psychology
I’m Dr. Mollimichelle McClendon (formerly, Dr. Cabeldue), and I’m honored to extend my forensic psychology expertise to you from Austin, Texas. With a practice grounded in unwavering ethical standards, my work is driven by a profound commitment to ensuring justice and deep understanding in every case I encounter.
My journey into forensic psychology was intentional and focused from the very start, giving me a nuanced perspective and specialized knowledge that I bring to every case. Whether it’s working across Texas’ diverse legal landscapes or engaging with a variety of forensic populations, my experiences have crafted a broad and empathetic lens through which I view each person’s story.
Whether advocating for an individual’s treatment needs or ensuring their rights are upheld, I approach each case with a commitment to equity and understanding, always mindful of the unique circumstances and backgrounds of those I evaluate.
My life outside the courtroom
I’ve completed several advanced training programs, continually updating my expertise to stay at the forefront of forensic psychology. My training encompasses a broad range of crucial topics, from cognitive behavioral therapies to violence risk assessment – well-rounded, state-of-the-art knowledge that I bring to every evaluation and consultation.
As an adjunct professor of psychology at the University of the Incarnate Word, I inspire future psychologists, emphasizing ethical practices and critical thinking in my Introduction to Forensic Psychology course. I’ve also supervised various levels of trainees in psychological testing and forensic assessment, including doctoral and masters-level psychology externs, psychiatry residents, and post-doctoral fellows.
My scholarly contributions include over 10 peer-reviewed publications and countless forensic psychology presentations at regional and national conferences, focusing on vital forensic issues like violence risk and competency to stand trial.
When I’m not delving into complex forensic cases, you might find me at the local farmers market, arranging a bouquet of vibrant flowers, or enjoying the simple pleasures of life in Austin with my family. These moments of joy and community are vital to me, grounding my work in genuine human connection
